What Our Clients Say

“I decided to work with a postpartum doula for my second child because I was looking for extra support to navigate caring for an infant while parenting a 3 year old. Alice was highly recommended to me by a friend.Working with Alice was a transformational experience for me as a parent. She is a reassuring, calming, kind presence and deeply knowledgeable about all the stages of baby development. We felt a sense of relief every time she walked in the door.

Whenever we faced an uncertain moment caring for our new baby, my partner and I would say "let's ask Alice!" and she always offered thoughtful guidance. As a parent, I felt empowered, supported, and of course much better rested! I cannot say enough about how incredible Alice is. I feel strongly that Alice's support enabled our family to smoothly welcome our new baby, ensured that I had a full recovery during the postpartum period, and set our baby up for successful sleep and feeding routines right from the start. Her support and guidance were invaluable. If you are considering hiring a postpartum doula, I think it is one of the best investments you can make in the well being of your infant and your entire family. Alice helped give our baby a wonderful start, ensuring that his sleep and eating routines were solid and helping us troubleshoot the myriad of questions that arise in the early months. We are eternally grateful to Alice for guiding us through the joys and challenges of this period.”

— Sara D.

“Alice came highly recommended to us from a friend, and even then, she exceeded our expectations. We are first-time parents, and had no clue how to care for a baby. We were sleep deprived, overwhelmed, and very often confused by our baby’s behavior. Each night Alice came to help us was a night that restored our sanity.

Having Alice is like having access to a kind, reassuring, and extremely knowledgeable baby whisperer. She was endlessly patient with our baby, but even more so with us. Every night, we would rack up half a dozen questions that we would ask Alice about baby care. She taught us how to change diapers, how to burp properly (harder than it seems), how to do paced bottle feedings, and how to interpret baby’s hunger and sleep cues. She offered recommendations on how to create better feeding and sleep routines. She reassured us about what behavior was normal in babies. And obviously, she helped take care of the baby through the night so we could sleep longer stretches through the night (and the baby was always so quiet whenever Alice took care of her — we never heard a peep)!

Many of our friends mentioned we looked far too well-rested for new parents. We attribute much of this to Alice’s support, allowing us to recover our sleep and teaching us the skills we needed to better care for our newborn. If you’re looking for a night doula that will set you up for future parenting success, look no further — Alice is the woman for the job!”

Who We Are

Julia and Alice’s journey into postpartum support began while working as nannies, where they witnessed firsthand the joys and challenges of welcoming a new baby into a family. Experiencing the realities of the fourth trimester—that delicate and transformative period after birth—sparked their deep curiosity about maternal health. They became passionate about supporting not just newborns, but also the physical, emotional, and mental well-being of parents during this critical time.

With Seattle being home to the world-renowned Simkin Center at Bastyr University, they embraced the opportunity to deepen their knowledge and train as postpartum doulas. From their initial training in 2017 to launching their business in 2021, they have had the privilege of supporting countless families, forming lasting connections, and building a strong, supportive community.

Their mission is simple: to nurture, empower, and ease the transition into parenthood—because every family deserves compassionate care in those early weeks and beyond.

A Little About Alice…

Alice’s passion for psychology began with a deep curiosity about the individual mind and behavior, eventually expanding into a broader exploration of how communities are shaped by policy. This led her to community organizing and activism, where she worked to create meaningful change. Over time, her focus evolved toward personal growth and development, recognizing the profound impact of support systems on individual well-being.
In her work as a postpartum doula, Alice has found a path that aligns with her values and allows her to be her truest, most authentic self. She approaches each family with care, empathy, and a deep sense of purpose, feeling immense joy and gratitude for the journey that brought her here.

A Little About Julia…

Julia is currently on maternity leave and her availability will be updated at a later date!

Your Questions, Answered

How early should I book doula services?

It’s never too early to book to secure care around your due date. That said, you’re always welcome to reach out at any time. If I have openings, I’m happy to accommodate and provide support whenever you need it.

How many overnights a week do you recommend?

Most families find that booking 4-5 nights per week offers the best balance of consistent support and flexibility. This schedule allows you to get meaningful rest, establish a steady rhythm with your baby, and still build confidence caring for your newborn on your own. Of course, every family is different—some benefit from more frequent care in the early weeks, while others prefer fewer nights—so we’ll work together to create a plan that feels supportive and sustainable for you.

Do I need overnight help if I will be awake breastfeeding?

Yes! Overnight support can be incredibly valuable, even if you plan to be awake for breastfeeding. A postpartum doula helps by bringing your baby to you for feeds, assisting with positioning and latch, and then taking care of burping, diaper changes, and settling your baby back to sleep so you can rest as much as possible in between. This kind of support not only protects your sleep and recovery, but also creates a calm, reassuring environment during those long nights—so you feel cared for while caring for your baby.

We’d love to support you during this special and transformative time. Whether you’re preparing for your baby’s arrival or already navigating life with a newborn, reaching out is the first step toward getting the care you deserve. Share a bit about your family, your due date, and the kind of support you’re looking for, and we’ll be in touch to create a plan that feels right for you.
